How LetsESIM Works
What is an eSIM?
An eSIM (Embedded SIM) is a digital SIM card built into your device. Instead of inserting a physical card, you activate a mobile plan by scanning a QR code. It's faster, simpler, and more flexible — you can add a travel plan without touching your home SIM.
Is my device compatible?
Most modern smartphones support eSIM, including iPhone XS and later, Google Pixel 3 and later, Samsung Galaxy S20 and later, and many other Android devices. Check your device's Settings > Mobile Data (or Cellular) for an 'Add eSIM' or 'Add Plan' option.
Step-by-step guide
1. Choose your destination
Search for your destination country or region in the LetsESIM app. Select a data plan that matches your trip length and data needs.
2. Complete payment
Pay securely online. Your eSIM QR code is generated and sent to your email immediately after payment is confirmed.
3. Install the eSIM
On iPhone: Settings → Cellular → Add eSIM → Use QR Code. On Android: Settings → Network → SIM → Add eSIM. Scan the QR code from your email.
4. Activate at your destination
You can install the eSIM before you travel, but it activates when you arrive and connect to a local network. Make sure 'Data Roaming' is enabled for your new eSIM profile.
Important notes
- Your device must be carrier-unlocked to use an eSIM from another provider.
- Each QR code can only be scanned once. Save a screenshot of your QR code as backup.
- Network coverage and speeds depend on local carrier infrastructure at each destination.
